Withdrawls !

This is what happens after you give your baby his first taste of Chocolate. After he eats it, and realizes he's not getting any more.
Sad thing is, I some times feel the same way!

one year older...

Even though it was a few months ago,
I still wanted to say we have had two birthdays in the past few months.
Miss aj has a friend that was born on the same day as her. The day after aj birthday she comes out of her room hysterically crying, and yelling "I'm not 6!" we tried to reassure her that she was and she didn't need to worry. I was not able to convince her that she was indeed 6. I finally asked her why she wasn't 6. Her answer was quite cute. " Because I haven't grown" Her friend that has the same birthday is a good 6-8 in. taller than her. We then had to have the talk about how we look a lot like our parents, and that her friend has very tall parents, and hers are not so tall.

Just to let you know Little Miss you are perfect the way you are.
And how could I forget, The Tot, turned one. This has been really quite sad for me. I am not ready to have him grow up. He needs to stay my little baby. He sure is a fun little boy!

My bad on his birthday I gave him 3 cupcakes ( yes 3, it was his birthday, who cares)
I forgot to take the wrapper off, he ate the wrapper and all. I guess I make a pretty mean cupcake. Or they are so bad you can't tell between the actual cake, and wrapper. I think it was the first!

Choice?

I kind of slacked off this year with Halloween.
Actually that is kind of an understatement.
I really kind of feel bad, I didn't decorate very much, we made last minute costumes with things we already had in the dress up box.( Pictures coming soon)
I guess I just wasn't feeling it!

So to get ready for the next holiday, I am feeling like making a pie! I am thinking apple sound just about right, although nothing says Thanksgiving better that pumpkin.

But then again, do I really need anymore sugar?

WENT PRIVATE!!!!

I have been thinking about this for some time, but really didn't want to, because it is kind of a pain always having to long on to view a private blog. But the time has come, and I have to do it.

After reading a story that happened to a friend of mine, I am now "jumping on the bandwagon".

She found her childrens pictures on a kiddy porn site. Can you believe that! Read the story here. http://www.brookemartin.blogspot.com/

If you would like an invite, please leave me your email address. And don't be shy about it!

For those of you with updates, that let you know when a new post has been made, I will continue to post the titles here. So that you will still get the updates!

Sorry for the inconvience, but I just felt like it needed to be done! Our new blog address is www.naheslingtonfamily.blogspot.com

Thanks

Soft?

I have a recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies! They stay so nice and soft, I love them. But I am not so fond of soft things on my body! So 7 years of marriage and 3 kids later, Nate and I have had it with our softness. ( Trust me its there, and I am really not to fond of it)

So last week, we ordered a workout video. I wonder how many of you picture Jane Fonda in a striped leotard, in your mind when you hear WORKOUT VIDEO? Because I do. Anyway before you laugh, we ordered the absolute killer of all workouts. P90x! That's right, I am probably going to die! Its supposed to get here tomorrow, and I am scared!

I better be pretty ripped in 90 days!

In Love

Photobucket

I am not usually a Nightowl, but after this weekend in Utah, I guess some of my pre-marriage habits are coming back. You see, we ( us, and the kids) are usually out by 8:30. Yes you read that right. Sometimes I wonder how old we really are? Anyway, we were in Provo for the 4th, and to visit family, to make time stretch we stay up LATE! Now that we are home, I am having a hard time getting back on my schedule.

I thought that it would be nice to make some muffins for Nate so that he would have something new to try in the morning. So I pulled out a cookbook and got started. I was so excited. It was kind of like being back in high school trying to do something special for a crush, and I was in love. Anyway; I got them all finished, and oh they looked and smelt so good. I decided to tie a bow around the cakestand, and headed of for bed.

I knew right when he woke up this morning, and couldn't wait to hear the clanking of the cake stand to let me know that he had gotten one. Such a feeling of pride came over me, I was able to start his day off sweet!

I guess the little stuff really does count!

Here it is.

{ Day in the life of a Pickle Farmer}

Photobucket
Who knew cuccumbers were yellow? For the past 3 seasons, I have been trying to grow these stubborn little things. At least for me they were stubborn. I couldn't even get the plant to grow big enough to produce flowers. Until this season. I am so proud of myself! This is only the first harvest. Enough to make 9 jars of pickles. Still haven't tried them. I have to be patient and "let the flavor set in". ( As Nate would say) You can see that some of them turned yellow, they tasted fine, so I figured they probably are. I'll let you know how they taste, when we get brave enough to try them.
